Roots pumps
Manufacturer: | Pfeiffer Vacuum |
Roots Pump is the ideal solution for the area of low and medium vacuum and applications requiring rapid evacuation of the vacuum system. This kind of a pump operates on a purely volumetric principle and has no internal compression compared to a rotary oil pump. Compresses against output pressure. The Roots pump is a dry pump because the pumped medium is not in contact with the oil during transport. Roots pumps are characterized by their compact construction and high pumping speed. We include them into pumping system together with a suitably sized primary pump.
New HiLobe pumps are available in a pumping speed range of 520 - 13,600 m3/h. Their superior drive concept permits extremely high differential pressures for a booster pump to be reached for short periods of time. This reduces pump-down times by around 20% compared to conventional Roots pumps. In order to operate, Roots pumps require a suitable backing pump, adjusted to the gas flow, for the particular application.
Multi-stage Roots pump technology of the ACP series meets the requirements of applications where a clean and dry vacuum is needed. series is designed to meet the requirements of industries such as laboratories, particle accelerators, vacuum coating, gas industry and others. The air-cooled design eliminates the installation and operating costs.
